If i didn't know the program had been killed, I would have thought this was the Santa Clara Football schedule. Where's Cal-State Northridge, UC Davis and Chico? (oh, wait! There's still a spot in the Cable Car!) Nice that KK got the 'Broncs into the pre-season NIT and on the road to UNLV, and he gets a pass for any exibition opponent, but this home scheduling against local nobody's is getting tiresome. If it is a DD contractual agreement holdover, that's one thing, but if we are actively scheduling these opponents, then Leavey deserves to be half-full. The schedule is even getting worse. Not even a SJS, Pacific or Reno. Are schools blackballing the Broncos because of DD? Is this a "safe" bet because the team will be so "green"? I'll take any insights (i.e. excuses) anyone has to offer, but this is just lousy. I'd rather have the Broncos be on the road against solid teams for two months then feel obligated to watch our RPI go in the tank at home. I'm feeling duped on my season ticket purchase, especially since prices went UP. Next year I'll demand a schedule before I write my check.
