He sounds like he knows what he needs to do and is willing to work. Also of note is that he, Traz and Dowdell are working hard on their shooting (especially in Dowdell's case).

Most interesting part: "I am excited we are going to get out and run a lot more. We are going to pick up defense at three quarters of the court. I am
excited about the pace we are going to play at."
Also says we are only going to leave the time zone once and play less road games. Seems like a good kid. I hope he does well. |

Nice interview. (Notice how SCU players can actually put thoughts together?) Watching Scott I've concluded
that he can be a solid center for the Broncos next year. And after that, who knows how much more effective he can become. Welcome to the coalition of the
willing.

"Coalition of the Willing."
I laughed out loud reading that. Nice one SCUFan. You get the award for accurately encapsulating the multiple of emotions I (we) am feeling at the moment. Hope, despair, uncertainty, hope, encouragement, question, you name it. We can't give up on the Broncos because its in our blood, yet....we...are...so...not...entirely...confident in our chances. Especially when the dogs along the spokane river with their multitude of sports management and "undeclared" degrees are thumping the league year in and year out. Thanks for the chuckle. |

he just needs to get better hands. its a long off season and thats all he needs to work on along with bulking up. John bryant had to loose a bunch of weight in
order to play and thompson should gain at least 20. he is a good replacement for john, but the hands and weight need to get better.

I don't fully agree... | #5 | ||
thetruth wrote: Although I'd like to see Scott get bigger and stronger, I think that his primary focus should be stamina and conditioning. As I understand it, KK wants to do more of a run-and-gun type offense (ghosts of Westhead and LMU?) and a 3/4 court defense, if that is true, he is going to be running a lot and he is going to be expected to get a lot of offensive rebounds. Didn't he have a history of some injuries, too? I seem to remember that he had problems with his foot. This makes conditioning even more important. I do agree, his hands need to get softer like John's, and he needs to be ready to get the feeds on the run in the up-tempo full court offense. -b |
