Great Win!! |

Who actually saw the game? I followed on Game Tracker. Bryant's stat line is surreal--27 boards, 12-12 from the line..... Traz had a nice game and KFos
scored his points, but the 9 TOs is a concern. Hopefully, he'll be able to shift back to a pure "2" next year when Smith and Alexander are
available. It would be awesome to take out the Zags, but by any measure, you have to be encouraged by the freshmen, especially the second half of the season.

Saw the game online. It was sort of screwed up because you had to click the Women's game on the WCCSports website to see it until it was fixed after
halftime.
Also, the ESPN ticker had the score reversed 38-23 in favor of USD which led to a bunch of confused Bronco friends calling me. John Bryant - 24pts, 27 boards, 4 blocks, 12-12 FT .... even with a subpar game when getting the ball on the block. Trasolini's stretch run has been amazing. His play was All WCC caliber tonight. I think he is 27-32 from the field for his last 4 games. Did a nice job on Pomare. Foster - Excellent first half. Yes, he had 9 TO's... (two on questionable palming violations and a few more with the hectic press towards the end of the game) He is not really a PG so you can't fault him and he still makes many more positive plays than negative plays. Rahon - Off from Three ..That just means he is due for a big night against Gonzaga. Calvin Johnson - Made two huge threes when things were getting a little too close in the second half. Dowdell - Had a nice agressive move on the offensive end. I imagine that Gonzaga will press us. Not sure why they would not. We don't have a true point but if we did I would put Foster\Rahon\Bryant\Trasolini up against any other 4 in the conference right now. |

What a win. You all said it...broncos looked great. Tough 2 give the full report from the cell here in Vegas, but fun story...i put $50 on broncos 2 win...took
my winnings over to the roulette table and put 1/2 on BRONCO red...and BOOM of course it came up! Nothing like a little luck on the table to back up our
fantastic win. Last few things...ruff riders looked amazing. great turnout and very loud 40+ people. also, really like the tourney in vegas. the orleans made
the place look good with various wcc posters, etc. there is a nice feel in the hotel of strong connection and love for wcc bball. thats all for now. more when
i get back to SF on mon

Unfortunately, the lack of depth with kill the Broncos tonight. Too many minutes played by the key guys and a back to back is not going to help. As much as they can, the Broncos need to slow the game down, make the extra pass on offense ... get the defensive rebound and make a quick break for a bucket so that Big John and Traz don't have to run up the court.. I think CJ and Petty are going to have to step up, control the ball. It would be nice if he offense mixed it up a bit, give a different look. I would like to see a high post, with Big John dishing the rock, and Dowdell running the baseline, Dowdell needs to be offensive otherwise it will be four on five, the Zags go into a zone, sag on Big John and let the Broncs shoot the trey ... and we won't win that game. And finally, it could get ugly ... |

The back to back is most concerning when playing a team that is rested. Anything can happen in one game. If we play well and Gonzaga has an off night we can
win. Need John Bryant to stay out of foul trouble.
Nice win last night too. A few solid performances to close out the season. Here's the 4th. |

See You Next Year! | #5 | ||

Well Cubs fans, we'll see you next year and let there be hope for the future! Hey...interesting trivia...coach dd and coach kk had two things in
common...repetitive initials and a loser offensive philosophy...next time try a looking for a "Few" good men when hunting for a coach!!!

Not so sure about the offense tonight. It wasn't great but the defense was horrendous. I don't know - just maybe Gonzaga has some guys that can shoot
threes you might not want to leave alone.

The lack of offense by the 2 and 3 slots is/was the downfall for the season (that and turnovers).
Since D-White didn't fill those shoes, lets hope that Mr. Harrison brings some heat from the 3/4 spot ... |

I think our offense from our 2 and 3 will be our strong suit next year as Foster goes to the 2 and Rahon at the 3. Petty will be one back up, I hope we see
less Santos, not sure who else.
Traz will be one of the bigs with Dowdell or someone new (Harrison from Bellarmine?) as the other big. Thompson's in the mix. Not sure who else. Robert Smith at PG and maybe Alexander, hopefully Smith if he's as good as we've heard. Again we will be very young and not great, but we will graduation no one except Petty. The following year we can be outstanding. |
