Raymond Cowels is a Bronco |
Lead | ||
|
ESPN, Rivals and Hoopmasters have all reported that Raymond Cowels of Minneapolis Hopkins-- the same school that brought SCU Mitch Henke and
Coach James Ware-- has committd to SCU. Cowels is a physical 6'4" wing rated three stars by Rivals. ESPN noted some need to work on his handle and
shot, but noted promise, strength and athleticism in a December 2007 evaluation. Raymond averaged 16.5 ppg last year and received offers from St. Louis.
Iowa.and Wisc GB among others.

And the encouraging thing is | #5

That when Keating referred to Cowles at the coaching clinic ('tho not by name), he was most excited about his and Niyi's ability to play lock-down
defense. Keep hope alive!

are we ever going to get any big men? | #6
|
Sorry guys, out of it re recruiting. It just seems to me every recruit we get fits this wing man mold. Someone enlighten me.
We are gonna be TINY next year, aren't we? |

If Thompson proves to be any help at all (big IF based on what we've seen so far), we should be just fine and at least not get abused by larger teams. I
was unaware those two newbies are each 6-8.
KK does tend to like small and fast over big and slow though, right? Man is this going to be a change from the past. |

Cunningham | #10 | ||
|
According to a number of articles, Cunningham is now 6'10". However, as with College v. NBA heights (see Kevin Love), we'll see when he arrives.
Harrison is more athletic, while Cunningham is supposed to be more of a classic low post scorer with good feet but without Niyi's hops.
