well maybe ... or not?
on tonight's Kerry Keating Show (aka The Sports Ramble) K-squared admitted that the Broncos did not take take advantage of the fact that UOP did not have anyone who could effectively guard BIG John man-to-man ... but I believe he did say that they (the team) missed 15 (FIFTEEN !) post feeds ...
he also said that in hindsight we should probably play some of our players more who have two fouls in the first half.
It also sounds like KK is not complacent about the NON-Calls that BIG John is not getting ... it sounded like KK got a ruling directly from the NCAA director of officiating (or whoever) and according to how John is being defended on the Low Block he is being fouled and the calls are not going to him ... we'll see how this one developes
as for Decense KK feels he shouldn't be playing so many minutes (a result of BEN and TRAZ on the rehab bench and Santos playing the three and the point) ... also Decense is the third best assist person in practice but not only missed 3 layup but six other times in the paint on misses he had folks open on the perimiter he needs to get the ball to in game situations
James and Kevin need some more work on defensive rebounding and maybe the coaches need to remind the freshmen during the game more about blocking out the FT shooter and other things that KK would probably like to think was instinctive ...
as for the upcoming S***furd game TUESDAY night at 8 pm (TV you know) he expects it to be heavily contested and very physical
KK also mentioned that we should be welcoming Coach Davey back with open arm ... even though he is on the other side ...
