Opponents........... 31 .413 .363 .727 28.3 12.5 240 89 61.4
interesting to note that:
if Josh's play is extrapolated to BIG
John's minutes he would have had ~ 11.6 ppg
also Michael Santos scored (for the time he was in) at about the rate that CJ did
so unless you look close you may never know where the points are ...
and this year is even tougher to take a guess at ... so here goes
CENTER
BIG John continues to step up ... and outside pressure from our guards and wings get him easier??? shots
plus Trasolini and Thompson spell him and get about a combined 4
ppg in doing so
FORWARDS
until Decensae gets done with the Red Shirt sit at the end of Fall Qty ...
Ben has to get it done replacing Mitch ... perhaps with some wing
help from the afore mentioned Mr. Santos who has the most size of the rest of the
pack and/or newcomer Kevin Foster (who I'm beginning to hear good things about) ...
that means Scott and Traz will have to step up the minutes at PF early in the season and while they probably will be more productive later (after Fall qtr) it should average out about the same pts for the time they split with Ben ???
GUARDS
last year the "Shooting" guards only accounted for about 9.5 ppg while Brody had 11.5 by himself
look for that to reverse this year with the SG's accounting (I hope) at least 12 ppg
leaving Perry Petty and his backup (Troy Alexander??) to
concentrate on learning and running the offense, getting a boat load of assists, and accounting for about 6 ppg ....
now we must remember that last year the BRONCOS were the 324th slowest.... errrrr Most Deliberate (and the 30th un-lucky) Division I team
but we had the 26th best EFFECTIVE FG%, the 40th best 2-pt FG% defense, the 29th best Assist (to Made FG) rate, and the 30th best rate of keeping the opponents
off the offensive glass --- we have to hold on to the ball better (332nd in turnovers) and defend against the 3 (258th)
so if we up the tempo which I believe KK wants to do ... we've got to score more than below and/or have
better D (which I know he wants) ...
anyway .... so HERE IT IS >>>
my WHERE THE POINTS ARE for the 2008-09 Season .....
## SUMMARY GP-GS Min PTS/G ------------------------------------------- 54 Bryant, John........ 30-30 30.0 20.0 15 Trasolini, Marc..... 30-0 5.0 2.0 12 Thompson, Scott..... 30-0 5.0 2.0 15 Trasolini, Marc..... 30-10 15.0 4.5 12 Thompson, Scott..... 30-10 15.0 4.5 10 Dowdell, Ben........ 15-10 30.0 10.0 10 Dowdell, Ben........ 15-15 30.0 10.0 14 Santos, Michael..... 15-0 10.0 3.0 00 White, Decensae..... 15-15 30.0 10.0 21 Foster, Kevin....... 15-0 10.0 4.0 03 Johnson, Calvin..... 30-?? 15.0 4.5 01 Rahon, James........ 30-?? 15.0 4.5 14 Santos, Michael..... 15-0 10.0 3.0 05 Petty, Perry........ 30-30 30.0 5.0 04 Alexander, Troy..... 30-0 10.0 1.0 Total............... 30 40.0 64.5 Opponents........... 30 40.0 61.4
now GO BRONCOS !!!
fine print ....
actually we should have at least 32 game ... but the numbers are easier at 30
with the exception of Decensae the 15 games for players represent the relative percentage they play at that position
