No, I am not living behind the Hut anymore. I moved out of there several years ago as I had a falling out with the owner. Most recently I was living in the trees outside Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, but we all know what happened there. Now, I am homeless. I think I will head back to SCU and see if there are any good spots to camp out.

Meh, I think 85 brings a lot to the board. I for one am thankful for his overall contributions, despite my general disagreement with his views on KK and the way the program is heading. Call me optimistic.

Rawhide is spot on here. '85, obviously, you have some serious issues to deal with and need to try and get out of the professional victim mode. Either, go to the Stanford board as Rawhide suggests, or seek some counseling or therapy. I am sure the SCU Alumuni office could give you some referrals. I wish you luck, but I for one am tired of your Davey got screwed nonsense. It was time for you to move on from this along time ago.

there may be / is a LITTLE more to this story ... and we should know a bit more soon ... not up on ALL the NCAA regs but there seems to be a difference between being released from scholarship and "transferring" vs. leaving school and "transferring"

and my understanding is that once he enrolls somewhere else (he has at Foothill it seems) he can then "transfer" anywhere ... don't quote me yet ... will look to get some clarification ...

Why does the fact that he is better than the other 3 make it make sense? If the kid is transferring, he's transferring. So why do we put a conditional release on him? Is it to teach him a lesson or to screw him because he wants to leave?

SCU 85... Conditional release on a 7ft-ish player with upside makes sense.... I don't think you will be seeing Tidemann, Gunner, or Latimer playing DI ball anywhere anytime soon. Hence, no need to be conditional about anything.

I don't think it is safe to jump to conclusion regarding how this whole Zimmerman thing came about. Let's wait for the true story to come out (or maybe S***ford won't let it be known), but until then we cannot assume that it was a Keating/Coonan wrong doing. I guess he'll get some solid playing time in JC ball, and perhaps end up at Stanford the following season. I'm sure by now many of the D1 rosters are "set". This young man obviously has some skill if he's being considered Pac 10 material.

Hope Rahon does pan out. Looks like he is/was a 2 star recruit and was offered by a few fellow WCC schools and Utah. Perhaps there's upside and room for growth. I would be surprised if he was the second best on the...

85- Why should we give him a release to Stanford (can we not go a month without you babbiling some thing about how bad of a human Keating is and how Davey is the best thing since sliced bread), you commit to a school and not a coach. From the tone of this article I wouldn't be surprised if ASU and Stanford were recuriting him before we even gave him his release, which is common. I think Zimmerman could have been a major contributor if he was given the time. Depth up front is going to be an issue this year. D White is the only natural 3 on the roster and he isn't available 'til December. Dowdell is smart & can play small forward but his outside shot and hip surgery could be concerns. Thompson, Dowdell and Traz can play the 4, with the beeg guy at 5 [with Thompson and Traz ?as backups]. Foul trouble and injuries could create some real challenges.
